The Skyhorse!
Season 1 Episode 12 is “The Skyhorse!” of Doraemon. In this episode, Nobita finds a book about a magical creature called the Skyhorse, who can take its rider flying high in the sky.
Excited at the prospect of exploring the world from a different perspective, Nobita and Doraemon use their time machine to travel to the past and meet the legendary Skyhorse. The Skyhorse, known as Umatake in the original version, is a gadget that resembles a stilt. It is a 22nd Century’s invention that combines both a horse and a bamboo.
To ride an Umatake, one should probably tame it first. The Umatake is hasty, impatient, and aggressive, so taming it with carrots is a must. Simply put one foot on the ‘step’, then the Umatake itself will jump around and move quickly like a horse.
However, Nobita’s inability to master stilt-walking results in Big G and Sneech challenging Nobita to a race. This leads to a thrilling encounter with a creature from the future. But when the Skyhorse arrives, it is a lot harder than what it seems, and Nobita will learn an important lesson.
